It was another great week down here in Hermosillo! My comp and I have been visiting recent converts, investigator families, and member families as well. It's been really exhausting because of the heat but we're really excited for a baptismal date we have planned for an 11yo kid named Julio for August 8th. We've also been teaching his parents and they've showed us their desire to get baptized but at the moment they're not able to because they're not legally married and one of them needs to get divorced in able to do that. Either way, I'm excited for the little guy because he's just too excited for August 8th and always gets super happy whenever we talk about his baptism.
On Thursday we wanted to do something for hitting my one year mark on the mission but it was raining super bad so we didn't have the chance to burn a shirt or anything like that. The ritual is that at 6 months you burn a tie, 1 year a shirt, and 18 months a pair of pants...but I might burn my shirt this week but we'll see what happens.
Other than that, not much has really happened. We have some neighborhood kids that always invite us to play kickball and soccer and whatnot at nights when we get back to the house so we've been playing with them a bit and it's actually been a lot of fun...it's been a great way to relieve a lot of the stress that I deal with as a missionary and brings me back home to my roots. I'll send you guys a photos as well :)
I got the package that you guys sent me from Yumby today at church and thanks a lot! I really like paisley ties so it was really nice to get another one! Transfers are next Monday and I'm pretty positive I'm staying here in my area but I guess we'll see where the mission takes me!
Have a great week guys, love you all, take care!
