Well, another week for the books! We had a multi-zone conference on Saturday and had the opportunity to hear from him, his wife, the assistants, and the zone leaders of our zone and zona reforma. Presidente Robinson talked a lot about personal testimony and faith, and explained to us a lot of the unfavorable doctrine/history of the church and his views on them and the importance of us having a strong testimony to make sure we stay active in the church when we get home. One thing I really like about this president is that he cares more about our well-being and conversion than about the less-important temporal things such as obedience or working as to the old president being just the opposite in my opinion. Things are good here now and the mission has calmed down quite a bit because of that.
My comp and I have been working a lot with our investigators and recent converts, more specifically with Jesus Roberto. He's such a great guy and has been to church every week since his baptism. He even got a calling last week as second counselor in the young men! To be honest he's been the favorite person I've been able to teach and baptize out here on the mission and I've been so blessed to have met him and help bring him unto Christ.
As far as for me I've been feeling a bit better this past week, I'm still a bit tired but I'm really looking forward to transfers on the 26th. Not like I don't like the area where I'm at or anything right now because I really love it but I'm excited to see what else the mission has in store for me. If I could choose I'd like to go to Puerto Peñasco but I have a feeling I'm going to get sent to Agua Prieta. I guess we'll see what happens when the time comes I guess haha.
Well, thanks for all of the emails! Love you guys.
Con amor, Elder Thayne
