Monday was transfer-day so we lost three people out of the eight in our district to other areas. Elder Eve called us on Saturday and told me that both me and my comp were being tranferred to different areas so we were freaking out. We weren't supposed to be transferred until after the three-month mark (because he's training me). No way was I being transferred to Agua Puerta haha. But minutes later he called us back and told us he was just joking, man were we mad haha.
Anyways, as far as the work goes, we're trying to work really hard to get some baptismal dates this week because our investigators need five consecutive weeks of church attendance in order to be baptized and we've only got (at minimum) six weeks here in Nogales. We've gotten one baptismal date so far for the 22nd of November for one of our investigators named Juan and it seems like he really wants to be baptized so I'm really hoping it pans out!
Other than that, not much has really happened this week that was out of the ordinary! But we did see, however, a foot-long centipede and a HUGE tarantula out on the street yesterday, it was loco. And we may or may not have found a giant scorpion in our room on Monday as well. But it's all good haha. We've found of tons of weird, different looking bugs out on the street so I'll send a few pictures if I've still got them. I also read Our Search for Happiness by Elder Ballard yesterday (yeah, all of it haha) and if you guys haven't read it yet I would highly encourage it.
Anyways, I hope your guys' week was fantastic and I really enjoy reading your letters. I love you guys and still think of you all often. Take care and remember that the gospel is real; live what you believe in.
Love,
Elder Thayne
