Hey there family!Another week spent here in Mexico! We've been having an awesome time and just loving life down here teaching people. We've continued working hard and have met plenty of new investigators as well. Juan, our person for baptism scheduled this month is progressing and all is well with him.
On Wednesday we had to walk all the way across town, via dirt roads and back trails so we made the best of our hour-long walk by taking tons of pictures and just messing around. I'll try and send at least one home for you guys. This city is so weird because some areas (center of town) are nearly as nice and identical as the States but as you start to leave town, people start living worse and worse. Some live as if they're in a third-world country. Dirt roads, houses built with scrap metal and whatever kind of wood they can find, it feels like I'm down in some South American jungle town sometimes haha.
Other than that, not much has really happened. Our lessons are getting better and better and the Spirit has definitely more present with us lately. The four of us Elders in our area have been getting along super well and have grown super tight as friends. I hope that we'll all be here for at least another transfer because the work is just so much fun with them.
That's about it for me. Have an awesome week guys! Thanks for the support and prayers, I think about each of you often.
With love, Elder Thayne
