It's been a great week down here in Guaymas! The weather has just been awesome (a bit hot but overall solid). We've continued working with the part-member family and her three daughters went to church with us yesterday. We put a baptismal date for those three for the 28th of March and I'm honestly just so happy for them. Their mom was baptized years ago but she has three daughters, Abril (17), Swami (14), and Ivana (8), and they are really cool, they remind me of our family back at home. The youngest one is super shy so we try and talk to her to open her up to us but she just smiles back and looks at her mom because she's always too nervous and timid haha. Swami loves One Direction and I swear everytime we visit her she's wearing one of their shirts so we bug her about it and Abril, the oldest, has a strong testimony of what we're teaching, she even asked us if she could take a peek at the baptismal font on thursday because she's really excited. Hopefully later this month I'll be sending home pictures of them so you can see them!
Apart from that, I've been getting to know the area better, meeting all of our investigators and members in our area and knowing all of the shortcuts to get to places faster. On (I think it was Friday), we went to a dental clinic at a foster home where there were like five volunteer/service dentists from the States (two of them members of the church) that were here on vacation for a week just helping out. We got to contact a lot of people that were standing outside and I got my teeth cleaned for free! No cavities this time haha but my comp had six, ouch.
Everything else has been good with me, just working with my comp and enjoying the great area down here. I hope everything has been going well for your guys, I pray for each of you daily and think of you often still. Love you!
Love, Elder Thayne
