This week was pretty crazy to be honest. I'll start from last Tuesday and then work my way up to today.
So we had a really great week last week and found tons of work. We kept teaching a lot of people and were able to put a few more baptismal dates with people as well. We got Yadira all ready for her baptism but she still needed to pass the baptismal interview, but she had a few problems in the past so Presidente Robinson himself had to come ALL the way over to Agua Prieta (like 6 hours in car) to do the interview. So we get to her house, Presidente Robinson, my comp and I, and we stepped out of the house and he interviewed her for about a half hour but after it was over he came out and told us that she DIDN'T pass the interview because she wasn't completely decided on keeping one of the commandments (which she told us beforehand wasn't a problem). So in other words, the baptism has been delayed and she still seems really excited to get baptized, it's just a matter of her being a little bit more prepared. So I won't be there for her baptism but that's not a huge deal as long as it happens.
So Saturday morning we got a call telling me I was being transferred to....PUERTO PEÑASCO with Elder Poole as a Zone Leader. I was sooo happy to have gotten a transfer that good and I'm way excited for what my area has to offer me here. Elder Poole has the same amount of time in the mission as I do and we were actually in the same district in the MTC. He's from Wyoming and he's a really cool guy so I'm hoping we'll have a lot of success together, I've only got three transfers left so I'm assuming this will be my last area of the mission if everything goes well.
Yesterday I had to do 13 hours of bussing in order to get here, so I left at 8am and got here last night around 9pm. It was a LONG trip. Anyways, I'm really excited to be here and hope to really enjoy the last bit of time that I've got left.
Thanks for all of the emails, love, and support, and I'll be writing you guys on Monday again. Adios!
Con amor, Elder Thayne
