We had another busy week down here in Guaymas! My companion is district leader so on Friday we went on splits with the zone leaders. I stayed the night at Elder Santos' place which meant my comp stayed in the area and worked with our investigators. Our investigators with baptismal dates went to church again with us this week and Abril, the oldest one of the three daughters is probably the most anxious investigator I've ever met haha. So on Sunday, she asked to see the baptismal font again so we went over there and showed it to her. We then started talking about her baptismal date for the 28th and I asked her what time of the day would be best for them that day for their baptisms. She replied to us by saying, ''how about we do it tomorrow?'' My comp and I busted out laughing and we had to tell her that she had to go to church on Sunday a couple more times in order for us to baptize her and I actually felt kinda bad having to tell her that haha. But whatever it's all good, as long as she follows through and keeps coming to church I'll be happy.
On another note, a member brought us over to their house this week (one that lives in the beach resort town, San Carlos) as well and gave us a nice car ride around the beach. It's super beautiful over there and it was a nice mini-vacation out here on the mish, haha. I'm thinking when I get home I'll come back after and maybe spend a week at one of the hotels, who knows maybe I'll be married by then...?
Anyways that about sums up the week I've had. The weather actually hasn't been too hot lately so walking around all day in the heat hasn't been so bad. Espero que todo les vaya bien y que su viaje a CDA fue muy divertido. Gracias por todo, les amo muchísimo!
Con amor, Elder Thayne
