Buenas tardes familia,
Thanks for all the emails everyone! My comp and I had a great week this week and were able to have a lot more successful of a week than the last one. We had one of our investigators, Reyna, go to church this week and it seemed like she really liked it! We also put a baptismal date with her for the 27th and we're hoping she'll keep going to church so that date won't move. Transfers are on the 29th so I'm hoping to be here for that.
Another one of our investigators, Yadira (the one in the photo I sent) also has a baptismal date for the 27th and she's a really great person to be honest. She's been making a lot of changes in her life and I'm hoping to be here for her baptism as well.
My comp and I have been knocking on a ton of doors in hopes to find someone who's ready to hear our message and come to church. We've been having a lot of success doing that actually and I feel like I haven't worked this hard for almost the entire mission. The area is so much better now than when it was when I first got here and I'm honestly really proud of the work we've been able to get done here (not to sound cocky or anything) but I really am proud of the area.
We played some basketball and soccer this morning for P-day and that was a lot of fun. One of the things I like about the zone here in Agua Prieta is that we're all Elders (no sister missionaries) so it's a lot better for playing sports and all that because you can be a bit more competitive and not have to worry about getting anyone hurt haha.
I got to see about the last five minutes of the Super Bowl at a member's house yesterday and I saw that the Broncos won. I was hoping the Panthers would win but oh well haha.
That was basically my week! Thanks for all of the emails and support, love you guys!
Con amor, Elder Thayne
