Buenas tardes familia!
My companion and I had a really great week! We had three investigators make it to church this weekend and saw quite a bit of success.
My companion got pretty sick so we had to take a couple days off this week.
But he's a cool guy and we get along really well. It's his first time as zone leader so I'm helping him to learn a few small things on how to lead the zone. It's definitely a cool experience but it's a lot of responsibility.
It's starting to get hot here and I'm basically turning really red and sunburnt but it's definitely worth it.
We went to a restaurant on a dock by the beach this morning and ate some great Mexican food and then later went to the church to play some football as a zone.
Scripture for the week is Ether 12:4, definitely one of my favorites.
I love how it uses the concept of hoping for a better world. I couldn't imagine living a life full of despair and not looking forward to something, especially hoping for a life after this one.
4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
Well, that was my week. Thanks for all of the emails, guys. Love you all.
Con amor, Elder Thayne
